Colors By Llarowe - November 2016 PoTM

Hiya guys! I'm actually doing something that I have been wanting to do for months... no, more like years. I'm finally getting around to swatching one of my own purchases! You have no idea the mountains of polish I have waiting to be played with, so even though it's just one polish this has me ecstatic. Here's hoping I can manage to do this a lot more often this year, fingers crossed. But now let's actually talk polish! For today I'm sharing the shade Turning Leaves by Colors by Llarowe, which was the Polish of the Month back in November 2016. Yes, I've been waiting two years to swatch this haha. To be fair, I have worn it a few times without taking photos because I just couldn't resist. But let's have the polish do the talking and get to the swatches!

Turning Leaves by Colors by Llarowe was released back in October/November 2016 for a limited period of time before it was gone for good. The 12mL full-size bottle originally retailed for $12 each. Hopefully this helps anyone looking for it second-hand because it's definitely a must-have beauty.

Turning Leaves can be described as a rich copper brown glowing holo with intense red shimmer. My photos definitely don't do the red shimmer any justice as it tends to come to life under direct sunlight. But even with that aside, you can see how gorgeous and sparkly rich the base is. As I said, this has been worn many many times by me and each time I fall more in love. The combination of the holo and shimmer just has that magically touch that turns an otherwise 'dull' color into regal gorgeousness. I'm so happy I was able to pick this up and add it to my collection. Note to self: try and never miss another polish of the month. I have a bunch from others months throughout the last two years I'll definitely have to share with you guys. I know it's not being sold any more, but you never know when you might find it in a destash.

The formula has a really opaque application and can be practically considered a one coater. Though for good measure (and more sparkle) I like opting for multiple thin coats. Consistency wise it's well balanced and not too thick or too thin. I haven't tried myself, but I have seen some other bloggers stamp with this shade. Definitely not surprisingly considering how opaque I found the first layer to be. It dries down to a semi-satin smooth finish that comes to like after some glossy topcoat. Also despite it's rich pigmentation I experienced no staining on removal to either my cuticles or nail beds. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
