May Flowers is a pink-red shimmer polish. I didn't own a shade quite like this previously so it was pleasantly surprising. It's also a very flattering tone against my skin tone. Formula and consistency are great, not too thin or too thick. Nice and opaque in a single coat, no issues with the application. Swatched here in two coats plus a finishing layer of Seche Vite topcoat.
When Lilacs Blossom
When Lilacs Blossom is a gorgeous and soft lilac shimmer shade. This is perfection for the Spring! I thought I would have a dupe for it, but it's a little lighter than some of the other similar tones I have in my collection. Great formula and consistency throughout with very nice self-leveling. The first coat is sheer, but it builds up well with just a few thin coats. Swatched here in three thin coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Morning Dew is a teal shimmer with a subtle touch of gold throughout. It should come as no surprise that I am head over heels for the teal in this collection. I really love the touches of gold, it gives it such a nice touch. Like the other shimmers, the formula and consistency are great to work with. The opacity is also very good and not as sheer as I was expecting in one coat. For these swatches I used two thin coats and sealed them off with Seche Vite topcoat.
Misty Mornings is a dark grey creme. You may be surprised when I say this, but this was actually my favorite and must-have from this collection. There is simply not enough grey polishes out there and the fact that this is creme has me doubly excited. Definitely a must-have if your collection is lacking grey shades like mine is. Fantastic coverage and it applies evenly throughout with no application issues. Swatched here in two coats plus a finishing layer of Seche Vite topcoat.
April Showers is a iridescent topper with a green shimmer throughout. Believe it or not, I previously did not have an iridescent topper that I was in love with. Needless to say, this one was definitely a nice change of pace from the norm for me. I love how much it transforms the base into something magical - it's like turning a bird into a unicorn haha. Great formula and applied evenly without cluttering. Swatched here over Misty Mornings using two thin coats and sealed with Seche Vite topcoat.
Overall this is probably my favorite collection so far from MTL Creations I have reviewed of all time. As I mentioned before, I am always a huge fan of collections that have some diversity. The entire collection has a nice formula with each one of the polishes, consistency is always a major plus. Morning Dew and April Showers are my definite two must-haves in this set if you don't own any similar ones. Which ones are your favorites?
