Red Coat Tuesday + PLL 100th Episode Nail Art

Hiya guys! I'm feeling so much better now, thanks for all the love. But just as one door closes another bad one opens up. I seriously have the worst luck! My car's radiator cracked and my car started overheating on the way home from work today. Scariest ride home ever. I'm going to have to get it fixed tomorrow but there goes my extra stash money for the rest of the month. Goodbye polish sales *queue the world's smallest violin* haha. Laughter is the best medicine to get through tough life spots... and video games help too.

Luckily I have something to keep my mind at ease tonight... Pretty Little Liars 100th Episode! I'm so excited about this. Counting down the minutes. Of course, I had to do my nails for the occasion.

So what do you think?

I had this idea sitting around in my head for weeks before I decided to actually do it. I was mostly afraid of how the lettering was going to come out. At first I was going to do like block letters but thanks to my hubby he suggested I do jagged ones instead. I really wanted to capture the feel of A writing across a wall or a mirror in the classic red she/he always does.

I started off my painting my nails my favorite shade of black a.k.a. Zoya Raven. Using grey acrylic paint I wrote '100' over and over all across my nails. I wish I would of had a stamper for that but I was pretty satisfied with my little doodles. Then I used white paint to do the letters and afterwards covered my nails with a matte top coat. Using Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Cherry Drop I filled in the white letters. After that, I went in with red acrylic paint and outlined the letters to give it a graffiti type of look. Then sealed the design with a glossy topcoat to blend in all the paints and give it a shine.

I'd love to hear what you think. Let me know down in the comments. If you've done your nails for tonight's episode I'd love to see them!
