Daily Hues Lacquer - Essentials Collection

Greetings guys! I hope everyone is having a nice day and some nice weather near you. Fall is just like "nah bro I'll be back later" to Jersey apparently, haha. It's so extremely hot and humid, I've had the AC on the whole day. I'm dying to wear my hoodie on a chilly Fall afternoon and drink some hot chocolate. I actually love that during the whole Fall and Winter season, it's so relaxing. I shouldn't let my mind wander haha or I'll really start babbling here. So for today guys I have a pretty relaxed and simple collection to share with you, say hello to The Essentials Collection by Daily Hues Lacquer. Because what collection is complete without the basics ladies!

Daily Hues Lacquer - Essentials Collection

The Essentials Collection by Daily Hues Lacquer is available for purchase as a whole collection and also individual sale. There is also a sale going on all this week for 25% off on purchases of $20.00 or more (no code necessary).

Daily Hues Lacquer Lace Thong

Lace Thong is a silky black creme that's opaque with two thin coats. I was really excited when I saw this black polish because I have been in search of a good one for a while. We all know how important a good black can be to our nail art and every day manis. I was definitely impressed with how opaque this particular one was with just a single coat. I'll definitely be trying it with stamping among other things next week. The swatches you see here are sealed in with a glossy topcoat to enhance the beautiful shine.

Daily Hues Lacquer Nice Knickers

Nice Knickers is a classic white creme that's opaque in three thin coats. I really like how creamy this white polish looks in these swatch photos. While it won't be replacing my personal favorite white, this is a pretty good one as well. It is very sheer in a single coat and I found it was best to use three coats in order to have an opaque finish. Because of that I don't think this particular one will be as useful for stamping purposes unfortunately. That being said, it is extremely dreamy and I think it makes a great choice for an undie base.

Daily Hues Lacquer Granny Panties

Granny Panties is a light grey creme that's opaque in three thin coats. I really like how the shade looks against my skin tone. I don't have many solid gray colors in my collection, so it's a needed addition. This one was also very sheer with a single coat and required at least three thin coats for an opaque finish. Good formula and consistency, I found this to be neither too thick nor too thin. Swatched here, you'll see this polish sealed off with a glossy topcoat to give it a beautiful shine.

Daily Hues Lacquer Pink Bloomers

Pink Bloomers is a light baby pink creme that is opaque in three thin coats. This is another polish that I was particularly excited about when I first saw the photos of it. It's the perfect pink for just about anything that you can think of, from a business casual to a cute french mani. The formula wasn't too difficult to work with but I did find it to be a bit thicker than the others. To achieve a smooth finish I suggest letting each layer dry a bit before applying the next and also sealing this with a topcoat

Daily Hues Lacquer Peachy Panties

Peachy Panties is a peach/coral creme that is opaque in three thin coats. One of my favorite shades in this collection, the peachy peach isn't one to be missed. I think that kind rhymed, right? Haha. I also happen to like the name of it a lot. Good formula and consistency, I found no issues to report with this polish. Swatch over a clear basecoat, I usedse three coats (sheer in one) and sealed it off with a topcoat.

Daily Hues Lacquer Barely Britches

Barely Britches is a nude creme that is opaque in three thin coats. I absolutely love the way this polish looks against my skin tone, it's literally the perfect nude for my complexion. Unfortunately I did experience a bit of trouble with this polish. Each brush stroke had a noticeable amount of pigment clumps. Layering helped mask these clumps so by the third layer it's wasn't as obvious. If you zoom in to my pinky or ring finger you'll see the tiny white clumps that I am talking about. I discussed this issue with the maker and she has informed me that this was early batch and since then the formula has been redone. I am extremely thrilled to hear this polish was reformulated because this nude is exquisite.

Daily Hues Lacquer Barely Britches

Overall the Essentials Collection by Daily Hues Lacquer is simply a really cute basic shade set. In a world where the glitter and holo polishes reign supreme, it's easy to forget the basics sometimes. Personally I know I didn't own a nude polish until very recently and I've been doing this for almost 2 years now. I think this set provides a good foundation of basic shades to be used as undies or for nail art. I'll be testing these out in the next coming weeks and will be using them for stamping, water marble, and other nail art experiments. These are also priced very reasonably at $6.75 each. There is also a sale, as I mentioned before, which you can check out the details of on Daily Hues Lacquer Instagram listed below. As always, make sure you follow Daily Hues Nail Lacquer for the latest releases, sales, and stock information.
