Bestie Twin Nail Challenge Week 3 | Lisa Frank Inspired Nails

Hiya guys! It's time again for the Bestie Twin Nail Challenge with my girl Cheyenne of CDBNails. Usually this a Monday bi-weekly segment, but we were both feeling sick this week. Figured rest over nail art for once would probably be wise. For this week it was Cheyenne's turn to create a design for us and she decided to go into the 90s for this one. Going way into our childhood, our manis are all about Lisa Frank this week.

So many good memories were going through my head as I created this mani. Growing up my folks didn't have much, but they made sure I could get the things I really wanted. One of those things was a Lisa Frank backpack with matching lunchbox on the first day of school. I couldn't get the clothes though, but my mom let me wear mismatched stuff to imitate the ones in store. Let's just say I was one styling colorful little girl, haha.

What I love best about this manicure is the versatility of the creation process for each nail. You can use vinyls, stamping, or freehand and wind up with the same results! It's all about what is convenient and easy for you. Since I'm on and off again feeling lousy, I needed to do this as quickly as possible so I could rest. I decided with stamping my ring and pinky nails then using vinyls for the other two.

Like always, here is everything I used to create this look:

I'm sorry the audio is a little funky in the beginning and ending of the video there. I realized this morning I goofed up during the editing process... this is what happens when you rush things at 3 a.m. I do hope you like the video either way and as always don't forget to subscribe: http://youtube.com/user/aquam3lon.

Of course, I had to matte it because... hello, it's matte. Though for this design and the whole Lisa Frank style I do think it looks better glossy. What do you think?

And here's a look at what our manis look like side-by-side. I was actually cracking up laughing this morning as I put the collage together because I couldn't tell which was which, haha.

Seriously even our poses match! I had to do a little something extra for the collage because this weeks mani was just that awesome. I'm feeling the pressure once again to come up with something for the next challenge. Be sure to let me know if you have any suggestions! I hope you enjoyed this weeks Bestie Twin Nail Challenge, stay tuned for more.
