Nail Art Challenge: Sunset

It's Friday guys, let's all get down on Friday! Or let's not and say we did, haha. It's so funny cause I feel all I've done is use a white base for most of my mani's this week. Most of which you guys haven't seen yet. While I haven't posted much this week, I have a ton of posts planned for next week. I'm ahead of my schedule and behind all at the same time. Leave it to me to make simple things complicated, haha.

The mani I have to show you guys is a gradient sunset done for the Challenge Your Nail Art June Edition on Facebook. Here's my sunset-themed nails:

Sunsets Nails

My camera was seriously flipping out over how bright were! These colors captured the essence of a sunset perfectly. Can you believe all these polishes were sitting in a drawer unused for the last six months?! I should be ashamed of myself for neglecting such beautiful colors. Special thanks to Austin for telling me what order to make the gradient. I didn't even think of the color red until he said it, I was just going to do yellow and orange. Helpful boyfriends are a wonderful thing, major brownie points were scored tonight.

Polishes used:
  • Island Girl: Orange color, no name
  • Sinful Colors: Snow Me White
  • Sephora: Pole Dance
  • Sephora: Banana Split

I think I have become obsessed with gradients lately. I feel like I have done a ton lately but maybe I haven't enough. I have a confession: I tried to do some stamping over the gradient. Let's just say I'm glad I took photos before I attempted it. The struggle is real.

Anyway I'm hoping to have time for the last challenge of the month, so hopefully stay tuned for that tomorrow. Looks like I'm an hour away from sunrise so I think it's time I get some much needed sleep.

  4. #strugglenails ! lol. My signature 'building up' of a mani pix started because I wanted to take a pix before the next step, in case I messed it up. At least I'd have something to show for all my work! lol. Your nails are on fiiiiire!
