12 Days of Christmas: 12 Days of Christmas Song

Hiya guys, how are you doing? Hopefully better than I am. Unfortunately, I hurt my lower back and I can't walk or move. Shortly after this post I might be heading to the ER because the pain is only getting worse. I probably should of went last night, but I'm stubborn and wanted to finish this mani amongst other things. I'm not getting better so don't worry guys I'll take care of myself now. What better way to leave you today then with a kickass mani, right?! Today's prompt for the the Challenge Your Nail Art group is finally the 12 Days of Christmas song. Here's the mani I created for the occasion:

Our prompt wanted us to pick one line from the song and created a mani around it. I picked the line "...seven swans are swimming" for my nail art, if you couldn't tell haha.

Here's the materials used to create this look:
  • Base Coat: Zoya's Ryan
  • Acrylic Paint: Blue, Dark Blue, Ocean Blue, True Green, White, Black, Brown
  • Detail Brush, tip fine cut by me
  • Glossy Topcoat: Sally Hansen

I used Ryan from Zoya as a base coat to give me that dark winter night feeling. It's become one of my favorite polishes this season. Everything else you see here was done with acrylic paint, a lot blending colors and some shadowing. And, as always, a lot of patience. Each nail took me about 30 minutes but I'd say it was well worth it. All things considered, I'm in love with how this turned out. I hope you guys are too.

As always, please don't forget to stop by the other participants blogs and give their mani's some love too.
