Doctor Lacquer - Something Spatial Series 1

Hi guys! Today went being a relatively nice day to me freezing in my house. All the hot chocolate in the world isn't warming me up right now. I'm sneezing up a storm as I try and play with all my pretty polishes haha. Tis the season, I suppose. But you know what else this season is about? It's all about the flakies! That's right ladies the flakie craze is back and looking better than ever! Today I have two polishes from the Something Spatial Series by Doctor Lacquer. I don't even have to say much because these beauties can do all the talking for me.

As I mentioned, these two are from the first set of the Something Spatial Series by Doctor Lacquer. The trio is already available for purchase and the second set in the series is on the horizon. Let's take a closer look at these two beauties. 

Apollo

Apollo is a shifty multichrome microflakie in a clear base. This shifts strongly from shades of purple, violet, blue and red. Combining the chrome and the flakes is absolutely genius! Although this polish is intended to be worn with an undie, it can also be layered for an opaque look. Swatched here, I used three thin coats and sealed with a topcoat. Formula and consistency are excellent, gave me no troubles applying whatsoever.

Pioneer

Pioneer is a shifty multichrome microflakie in a clear base. This shifts strongly from shades of red, gold and green. Same concept as Apollo, these polishes layer up very nicely for a fully finish effect. I didn't think I was going to love the shade for this one, but after putting it on I feel ashamed for ever having any doubt. The colors shift so beautifully and compliment my skintone so well. Same excellent formula as Apollo, no issues with the consistency or the application. For these swatches, I used three thin coats and sealed with a fast drying topcoat.

Overall you guys can call me out if you'd like but I am jumping into the bandwagon full force. I feel like these two flake polishes are just the tip of the iceberg from Doctor Lacquer. Not only are they interesting and unique, but I'm loving the chrome color shifts! And as far as formulas go, these are without a doubt flawless. As I mentioned before, the trio is already available for purchase and the second set is coming really soon. If you've been like me and are on the fence about the flake polish craze, just do yourself a favor and try one of these. Trust me when I say they will blow your mind and make you want to buy all the flake polishes we've been seeing left and right.
