Essie - Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low Collection

Hi guys! How's it going today? The weather is kind of snowing with a mixture of rain here, so in other words really dreadful. It's one of the days where I'm really missing my dog who recently passed away. The holiday season just doesn't feel the same to me. Again, really want to thank all of you who've been sending me such sweet messages. It's very much appreciated. Let's talk polish now before I start the waterworks once again. Today I have to share with you guys the Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low Collection by Essie that I purchased a while ago. I've been sitting on these for at least a month. I know, for shame.

Essie - Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low Collection

Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low Collection by Essie has been available for purchase since early last month I believe. Before you view the swatches, get prepared to feel a lot of déjà vu with this collection. Don't say I didn't warn you, haha.

Bump up the Pumps
Essie - Bump up the Pumps

Bump up the Pumps is a pinkish-coral creme polish. I think Essie has spring on the brain, haha. Not that I blame them, this cold weather is not ideal. That being said this is not a holiday color to me whatsoever. Don't get me wrong because I love coral shades, this one especially because it compliments my skintone so well. The formula is one of the better ones in this collection as well. Almost a one-coater, however, for these swatches I did apply two thin coats.

Double Breasted Jacket

Double Breasted Jacket is a cherry red creme polish whammy. Although this hints at kind of a holiday vibe, I still find it more favorable towards spring and summer. I'm kind of a sucker for the red shades and this one is no exception. If you don't have something similar already in your collection, then I suggest picking this one up. It won't disappoint you. But I wouldn't be surprised if you might already own a dupe, the color feels very 'common'. Great formula and consistency, applied smooth as butter. It has a super shiny finish even without a topcoat as well. For these swatches, I applied two thin coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low

Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low is a metallic shimmering silver-gold polish. I'll definitely have to reswatch this particular one for color accuracy I think. A lot of the swatches I've seen hint more at a gold than silver as these photos suggest. It's definitely a good mix between the two, not really one more than the other. Very dependent on how the light hits it. Formula wise this is fantastic and easily a one coater. It has such a perfect and smooth finish! This is a good example of holidays with a twist as I think Essie was trying to go for here.

Jump In My Jumpsuit
Essie - Jump In My Jumpsuit

Jump In My Jumpsuit is a deep berry red creme. While it's not really unique or different in color, it is a fantastic red. A one coater to boot. If you're looking for a new red for your collection, then I definitely suggest this beauty. Otherwise you'll find many dupes floating around for this particular shade. Regardless, the formula and consistency are excellent. For these swatches, I used one thin coat and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Back in the Limo
Essie - Back in the Limo

Back in the Limo is a ripe-melon crelly shade. This one is probably my favorite in terms of color, but again not really feeling the holiday festivities here. Gorgeous color for the spring though. The formula is a bit on the tricky side to work with as it can be a little streaky. It's also extremely sheer in one to two coats. For these swatches, I applied using three to four coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Tuck it in My Tux
Essie - Tuck It In My Tux

Tuck It In My Tux is an ivory white jelly polish. I have such mixed feelings about this one. My first instinct tells me I'm not fond of it, but then I put it on and I can dig it. The formula wasn't as smooth as I would of liked and gave me a bit of trouble layering without clumping up. As you can see in these swatches, it's not very opaque and I applied three thin coats. The shade itself reminds me of marshmallows or fluffy clouds... or snow (duh!). And while I don't think I will be wearing this alone, I can see myself using it a lot as a base for glitter toppers.

Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low Collection by Essie. I can appreciate their effort for trying something other than the traditional holidays colors. However, the shades they did go with are too similar to so many others they have done in the past. That being said, if you don't have any dupes then these are really great in formula for the most part. I know I'll be using these as bases for nail art throughout the season and probably year round. So tell me, what do you guys think of this collection?
