Hiya guys! How's it going? Okay so before we get into the review I have to tell you how silly I am. I spent the entire day telling people 'TGIF' and 'happy Friday'... obviously guys we're not quite there yet. I realized this like only an hour ago so I literally spent the entire day saying this at work and online. Can you tell I cannot wait to get my weekend started already? Haha. Okay so now let's get into the polishes I'm sharing, today I have swatches for the Spring Trio from CDB Lacquer. These are all light pastel-like shades in micro-glitter finishes!
The Spring Trio by CDB Lacquer will be releasing for pre-order only and will be available Friday, March 25th through April 8th. Each full-size bottle will retail for $9.00 individually and $25.50 as a complete trio.
Beauty in Bloom can be described as a aqua crelly with purple, teal and holographic silver glitters in numerous sizes. Starting off with my pick for must-have and my favorite from the trio! It's such a gorgeous glitter to color combination, the micro-glitters stand out really well. The formula is smooth and it has a great application with opaque layers. It dries to a semi-gritty finish so topcoat is needed to smooth down the glitters. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Flourishing Flowers can be described as a lavender crelly with aqua, purple, white and holographic silver glitters in numerous sizes. It applies sheer on a first coat, but ends up evening out on the nail. However, the formula was on the thick side making a third coat a little difficult to manage. Again, this polish dries to a gritty finish and will need a thick topcoat to smooth it down. Shown here in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Springtime Splendor can be described as a glitter-bomb packed tight with aqua, purple, white and holographic silver micro glitters. Although it applies completely sheer on the first coat, it does build up to an opaque finish by the third. Shown here in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Overall I love that these are micro-glitters, it's a nice touch and also happens to be one of my favorite finishes. While I do wish mine had a thinner application, it is something that Cheyenne has addressed for the official release. I definitely have to recommend Beauty in Bloom once again, it's such a flawless polish and easily stands out among the three. But tell me guys, which one is your favorite? Are you a fan of micro-glitters too?
To recap, Spring Trio by CDB Lacquer will be releasing for pre-order only and will be available Friday, March 25th through April 8th. Each full-size bottle will retail for $9.00 individually and $25.50 as a complete trio.
