Happy Birthday Barbie!

Hiya guys! I am probably the biggest dork in existence, but I have been looking forward to today for weeks. And that's because... it's officially Barbie's Birthday! I cannot believe I'm about to confess this, but I actually played with Barbie till I was 15 haha. It was a big part of my childhood especially because I was an only child growing up. Of course being the weirdo that I am I always put my Barbies in movie roles... like slasher films. Yes, I used to make my Barbies kill each other off in Camp 'Moms Closet'. Good times, haha. Anyway in order to properly celebrate today I had to do a manicure for the queen of pink!

I really love how this turned out, but I had such a hard time achieving what I wanted to do. I kept changing my mind about the polishes I wanted to use and whether or not I wanted this to look matte. Should I kept it matte or do you think gloss was the way to go?

One of my goals is to be able to freehand this silhouette one day, but in the meantime I'm all about the water decals. I love the simplicity of this mani! Dang, I only wish I would of had a Barbie doll to pose with!

Here's a break down of everything else I used to create this mani:

I do have to apologize for the low quality of the video. Besides trying a new angle I also recorded while under the influence of my new meds, which apparently makes me forget to focus my camera. It also makes me think I am recording when I'm not so I missed the placement of the decal onto my nail. Way to go Rose, way to go.

I'd love to hear what you guys think of this mani, let me hear your thoughts down in the comments! Also let me know if any of you guys tried to recreate movies with your Barbies growing up!
