Hiya guys. It's Friday and it's already been off to a heck of a start. My car wouldn't start again, luckily the hubs gave me a ride and I'm hoping my friend can take me home after work. I've been having nothing but car trouble for the last month at least. To top matters off the post office lost one of my packages from Black Friday. Frustrating to say the least. It's Friday though so I can't be too mad, haha. And also it's a nail art for the Challenge Your Nail Art group, which I'm really psyched about. Today's prompt is Snowmen, which is something I really wanted to do since last year.
My little snow people relaxing on a snowy hill. It's a winter wonderland! Haha.
I found an image while I was doing some Google searching the other night of a lady of snow in a hill and I saved it for this prompt. As I was doing the snowman on my middle finger, it suddenly hit me that I should two! Then it hit me again that if it's two then I should make them a cute couple! Boom... this piece of nail art was born. And you can tell that I actually like my own nail art because this post has three photos instead of the normal two haha.
The base for this mani is actually one of my favorite polishes in my entire stash, It's So Blue by Stardust Polish. I used OPI Alpine Snow along with curved nail vinyls from Loki's Nail Vinyls to create the little hills. Everything else you see here was done with my trusty ol' acrylic paint. I was debating whether to go glossy or matte, but figured it's been awhile since I went matte. The matte topcoat makes it feel more wintry for some reason to me, but I could just be weird haha.
Check out the other ladies in today's prompt:
