12 Days of Christmas: Christmas Tree

Hiya guys, how's it going? It's actually kind of a nice day here, not only the weather but just the vibe. I don't have days like this quite often, so I'm trying to enjoy it while it lasts. So far I'm really enjoying being part of the Challenge Your Nail Art prompts this month. It's definitely pushing me to want to do nail art and not over think what I do end up doing. Not to mention how much I love all the sharing and support within our little community. Today's nail prompt was... Christmas Trees! Take a look at what I came up with.

12 Days of Christmas: Christmas Tree

What do you think? I've had this idea floating around in my head since pretty much last year. But as always, self-doubt made me not want to do it until now.

As you can see I filed me nails down quite a bit and I'm loving my new nail length. For the next few days though you'll see posts jump back and forth between lengths haha. Some of you guys know how close I am in friendship with Cheyenne of CDB Nails and we're so close in fact that we share a twin brain. Seriously. This nail design is a good example, we both didn't preplan this whatsoever and ended up doing pretty similar designs. Her's is up on her blog where you can check it out. Spoiler alert: her design is a million times more cleaver and cuter haha.

Christmas Tree Nails

Polish used for the base is Color Club Tres Jolie, which is a pain to work with don't recommend whatsoever. For my little Christmas trees I used the skinny straight Nail Vinyls to make the shape. The shade I used for the trees is the fabulous Mistletoe from Julie G. The little star studs are from eBay I believe, honestly don't remember because I'm a hoarder for studs. I went in with acrylic paint and added a bit of silver tinsel thing to make my little tree pop more. I really like how this ended up coming out and I hope you do too!

    1. Thanks. Definitely one of my favorite shades for the season. It's actually textured though it doesn't look it.
