Hiya guys. The week off work has begun and I couldn't be happier! I slept in till past noon and didn't have to wake up to a puppy clawing my face. It's going to be a good day, lol. Today I have swatches for two gorgeous cremes from Bad Bitch Polish's upcoming Spring release. Bad Bitch Polish is a three-free and cruelty free indie that has been around since last Fall. They are still fairly new, but their line has been steadily growing and they have a ton of new releases on the way.
Bad Bitch Polish will be releasing their next set of polishes this Friday, March 20th. Now let's get to the swatches!
Urban Rainforest
Urban Rainforest is a luscious dark green creme shade. The name is so spot on for this polish, because it literally is forest green! Greens are rarely on my radar and almost nonexistent in my collection, which makes this the perfect addition. The consistency of the formula was a little bit on the thin side, which caused some minimal cuticle flooding. Luckily, the dark tone does not stain so cleanup is really easy if you do get it on your cuticles whilst applying. Depending on how heavy handed your application, you may be able to get away with just one coat. Personally, I apply my polish very lightly and prefer two coats for a fully opaque finish. For these swatches, I used two thin coats and sealed it off with a glossy topcoat.
Quad Shot
Quad Shot is a rich tone of seal brown in a creme finish. Very luscious finish, but nothing too exciting. Definitely a must-have shade if you don't own a similar one in your collection. The formula for this one was not as thin as Urban Rainforest and I didn't experience any issues evening out the layers. Nice consistency and each layer was neither too thick or too thin. For these swatches, I used three thin coats and sealed with a topcoat. I couldn't resist the shade and had to do some nail art over it, which I'll be showing you guys later on this week.
Overall I'm really liking the earthy tone based cremes for this time of year. Normally you see colors like this and think of dreary Fall, but that's definitely not the case here. It's been such a nice variation lately to have more than just pastels in the Spring time.
How do you guys feel about darker shades in the Spring time?
As I mentioned before, Urban Rainforest and Quad Shot are releasing Friday, March 20th. Mark your calendars if you're interested in the lush cremes and don't miss out in their release.
That polish looks amazing! I love the glossiness, and it looks super tough. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. It has a nice natural gloss, but the topcoat definitely adds to it.
DeleteI love that dark green color. Actually, I love both colors. They are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The green one was definitely my favorite one among the two.
DeleteI love that green! I don't like darker shades in spring because I'm so happy that it's finally warmer and I want to show it on my nails with pastels or neons :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the green is very nice and my favorite. I love pastels too, but the change of pace is nice every now and then.
DeleteWow, I love the green, looks so shiny!
ReplyDeleteThanks. That's also the topcoat helping out. Love my Seche Vite.
DeleteI have not heard of this brand of polishes before, but I love the colors of them. They look like salon gels!
ReplyDeleteThey are very new in retrospect. You'd be surprised the world of indie brands that are out there, they make amateurs out of the name brands we know.
DeleteThe colors are so rich and vivid. The gloss is amazing as well. I've never heard of this brand before but because I love doing my nails, I'll check them out and see what other colors they have.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely should, she has a fantastic selection of polishes.
DeleteThe squishyness of your swatches is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was feeling a little weird about them since my nails are a tad bit shorter than normal. Broke a corner :(
DeleteAs of late, green is my new favourite colour...I love that tone!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I like green, but it's always so hard to have it compliment my skin tone.
DeleteI really like both colours!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI like the urban rainforest. It's different from any color I've seen and so glossy. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a unique and fun shade of green. I recommend it!
DeleteThat quad shot is gorgeous! The rainforest color looks so lovely on your nails, I have never seen a color like that in a long while.
ReplyDeleteUrban rainforest is the definite stunner of the two and a unique shade at that.
DeleteThese look like great polishes!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThese look great! I love that green. I'm a big fan of wearing whatever color suits your mood no matter the season, so a dark or neutral is good by me :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I cannot think of a color that's seasonal only. Thanks :)
DeleteI think darker shades can definitely work in spring. Quad shot would be great for any season really.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with Quad Shot. I tend to like earth tones for my clothing colors and darker tones overall.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness what an awesome name for a nail polish brand. I love the brownish color!

ReplyDeleteI love that dark green its beautiful!!! I have not heard of this company before!
ReplyDeleteI love the urban rainforest! I also like how glossy and polished your nails look!
ReplyDeleteWe're heading into winter so, these would be good! I could imagine both of these with gold stamping and studs! I don't like to wear darker colours in Spring, because I'm usually DYING to bring out the neons and holos by the time it rolls around!
ReplyDeleteUrban Rainforest looks really nice and I love how squishy it is!
ReplyDeleteWow! These swatches are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThat green is gorgeous! I always wear the plum colour usually, but now I'm hooked! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat green polish is so perfect for today. St. Patrick's Day. :) I'd love to try them both. Lovely!

ReplyDeleteThose are really nice colors for nail polish and very shiny. I will have to check these out.
ReplyDeleteI love the shades and the gloss! I can never get an even finish or get it to apply right though! I need help!
ReplyDeleteThese polishes are beautiful. I totally want them all. Green is the new black to me. I can't wait until Friday for them to launch.

ReplyDeleteI love Quad Shot. I usually go for lighter colors in the spring but I would definitely wear this one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful swatches. Urban Rainforest would be my pick from this collection.
ReplyDeleteThe shine is so nice and the colors are so rich. I really like this polish.
ReplyDeleteThese are both stunners! I'm a brights and pastels lover for spring but brown and green make sense too with everything blooming and turning green again.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this polish but that green polish is amazing! Just the perfect shade of Irish green for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm normally not a green polish kind of girl but I love Urban Rain Forest! It's so squishy looking and rich!
ReplyDeleteI prefer darker shades in the Fall/Winter but will put them on my toes year round :) These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose colors are great for chillier months! Super glossy too! Right now I'm into super springy fresh colors.
ReplyDeleteLooks like high quality nail polish! It truly does. I like the green color too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat green is amazing! I have some outfits that would go with those nicely.
ReplyDeleteInteresting colors for spring, but pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful polishes, so glossy! Especially the green one, that colour is amazing! And I think it's fine to wear whatever polish you like, whenever you like, lol! As long as it's pretty ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the green (urban rainforest) shade. It's such a classy color that can be matched with any outfit.
ReplyDeleteI have always love green nail polish, but that is such a lovely, deep shade of green that I haven't seen before, nail polish wise. I'll have to check this company out!
ReplyDeleteWow so shiny and glossy! Love these!
ReplyDeleteWow, so deep and rich. Looks like a good swatch!
ReplyDeleteI'm not generally a fan of anything outside the red/orange/pink spectrum, but I love that high gloss! Maybe someday I'll get brave enough to try something outside my comfort zone.
ReplyDeleteI really like both of those, but my favorite is Urban Jungle, such a deep, lush green!
ReplyDeleteThose two colors are not usually my favorite polish hues, but the way you wore them gives me something to think about. You really showcase them very well! I am now liking that deep dark evergreen color!
ReplyDeleteGreen is my favorite color so that one is beautiful! What a striking emerald hue!
