Born Pretty Store - Vintage Flower Print

Hiya guys. It's Thursday already and I'm quite bummed out as my lazy glory week is almost over. No more sleeping past noon with my doggies for me. But it's back to the real world where I have to wear pants all the time, lame. Haha. Anyway, for today I have a mani to show you all using full nail water decals from the Born Pretty Store. I have reviewed a ton of items from BPS before and if you'd ever like to see them, please type in 'Born Pretty Store' in the search box. Now let's take a look at the mani!

Born Pretty Store - Vintage Flower Print

So vintage and retro, I'm in love with this floral pattern. I think it might actually be one of the first times I decided to give it a go with a full nail wrap/decal like this. Now let's take a look at how my experience with the product was.

Born Pretty Store Item XF1395
Born Pretty Store Item XF1395

The floral water transfer decals retail for $1.99 and is item #16216 from the Born Pretty Store. It will bring you exactly ten decals, so you have no room for error if you intend to go full mani with them. Personally, I found that these tear very easily and had three completely mess up on me while in the process. If like I said your intention is a full mani, then I do suggest purchasing two packets just in case you mess up like I did.

Originally I thought these would make perfect accent nails only, but after having a full mani with them I have completely changed my mind on that. Of course, you can still just have this as an accent but it's also nice knowing it makes a great full mani too.

The application process is a little bit difficult for beginners and as I mentioned this was my first time dealing with this type of decal. They do tear very easily if you're not careful removing the excess from around your nail, especially the cuticle area. A good example of this is my index nail, although it's hard to tell it is torn from the top and side. The method I had most success with was to wait until the decal is sealed with a topcoat and completely dry before slowly cutting around the excess. I also found it easier to tear around my nail shape with an orange stick. It's a lengthy process because you do have to work very slowly. If you're looking for some quick and easy decals, then these are not for you. But if you're like me and have the time to fiddle around, then I definitely suggest picking these up because when they do come out nicely at the end of it all!

As I mentioned before, the Floral Nail Water Decals can be found in the Born Pretty Store listed as Item #16216. Each pack comes with exactly ten decals and is available for $1.99. If you'd like to shop over at Born Pretty Store be sure to use my code ROHG10 to receive 10% off your purchase. As always you'll receive free shipping, however, shipping does take around 3-6 weeks.

How do you guys feel about these decals? Do you love the vintage look as much as I do?

  10. I love it. I have acrylics, so I can't use nail stickers - which is a bummer because I love all the cool prints.

  12. These are so cute. I love how there are so many different designs you can use--I tried Jamberry but they always fall off and damage my nails.

  18. Oh I have these! They are so pretty! Yeah, I typically don't ever have the patience to do a full mani with these types of decals and end up doing just accents. This is so striking as a full mani though! They do have a bit of a learning curve, but they aren't too bad! I've played with them several times, and the easiest and cleanest way to clean up the edges and tips is with acetone and a clean-up brush. They melt away with acentone and actually, if you do this at the tips it sort of seals the tips. It was trial and error, but I found that method worked really well (in case you want more detail, here is a link to the post I made about them http://lavishlayerings.blogspot.com/2014/09/born-pretty-store-colorful-rainbow.html).
