CDB Lacquer - Thanksgiving 2015 Trio

Hiya guys! It kind of just hit me as I am typing this how close we actually are to Thanksgiving. I know this doesn't apply to all of you guys, but it's seriously only two weeks away. All. That. Food. *drool* It's probably horrible that food is all I think of, but that's a way of bonding in my family haha. But with that holiday in mind, today I am sharing swatches for the Thanksgiving Trio by CDB Lacquer.

CDB Lacquer - Thanksgiving 2015 Trio

The Thanksgiving Trio by CDB Lacquer is now available for preorder through November 16th at midnight EST. The trio is only available in full-size and retails for $24 for the set. Individually each one retails for $8.50.

CDB Lacquer - Sweet Pumpkin Spice

Sweet Pumpkin Spice can be described as a burnt orange with red shimmer as well as orange and gold micro glitters. For me the micro glitters is where this polish really outshines a lot of the similar shades I've experienced. It really has a nice blend to bring the inspiration of 'pumpkin spice' to the forefront. Formula applies well and has impressive self-leveling and opacity on a first coat. The finish does dry a bit on the gritty side as expected due to the micro glitters. Shown is two coats and doubled up on a glossy topcoat to seal in the finish.

Thanksgiving Feast can be described as a plum red glitter-bomb packed tight with red, garnet, silver and gold micro glitters. Definitely my favorite among the three and I have to say this is a must-have for the season. I feel like it's been a while since I've worn a glitter-bomb like this and it has been sorely missed. I absolutely adore the glitter combination, check out the macro below for a closer look. Formula and consistency are really smooth and it has a nice balance between thick and thin. The polish dries naturally to a gritty textured finish and will need two layers of topcoat for a smooth finish. Shown is two coats and doubled up on a glossy topcoat to seal in the finish.

Candy Apple can be described as a deep red shimmer polish with red, silver and gold micro glitters. Another beautiful shade in this trio that really hits a home-run when it comes to fitting the holiday spirit. I can easily see myself wearing this through many seasons. Formula again with this one is very smooth and I didn't experience any issues with the application. The consistency has a nice balance with each brush stroke proving just enough glitter coverage. Shown is two coats and doubled up on a glossy topcoat to seal in the finish.

Overall the Thanksgiving Trio is a really well-rounded collection that evokes the holiday perfectly. The touches of glitter in each one really suits each of the shades without being too gaudy or overwhelming. I also would like to not how versatile these polishes can be depending on the topcoat of your choice. You could easily matte these or not topcoat at all and have a beautiful textured finish.

As I mentioned before, the Thanksgiving Trio by CDB Lacquer is now available for preorder through November 16th at midnight EST. The trio is only available in full-size and retails for $24 for the set. Individually each one retails for $8.50. As always, all orders over $30 receive free shipping in the U.S. with the code 'FREESHIP'.
