CDB Lacquer - Holiday 2015 Collection

Hiya guys! Wish I could be excited about the weekend or about anything. As you may have noticed I haven't posted almost all week and I honestly can't even begin to explain why. I have the content, I'm actually now quite behind on my schedule. Maybe this is blogger burnout or maybe I am just going through my own depression period again. Here's hoping I can jump right back into my blogger girl flow soon. Anyway I have quite a few collections to share, the first being the Holiday 2015 Collection by CDB Lacquer. This is a 5-piece collection consisting of a whole lot of glitter and sparkle. Two of my favorite things, of course. Let's get started.

CDB Lacquer - Holiday 2015 Collection

The Holiday 2015 Collection by CDB Lacquer is available for pre-order through November 16th. The entire full-size set is available for $40.00 and each bottle retails individually for $8.50. There are no mini sizes available for this collection.

Magical Time of Year can be described as a gold and silver flakie polish with red and green micro glitters throughout. Such a festive polish to kick things off. I love the hints of green and red throughout, really makes it stand out amongst other similar glitter polishes. The formula applies smoothly, but with a few patchy areas on the first coat. A second coat evens out the layers and gives you a full finish. Even after two coats of topcoat it had a slightly textured finish. Personally I love textured polishes so I definitely enjoyed wearing this one. Shown here is two coats sealed with double the glossy topcoat.

CDB Lacquer - Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland can be described as a bright blue jelly polish with blue, white and silver glitters in numerous sizes. This is probably hands down my favorite from this entire collection! A definite must-have, especially if you're a fan of squishy jelly polishes. The formula is a little bit on the thick side and is sheer as expected for a jelly. After two coats, it is best to dab on a third to even out the finish. Winter Wonderland has no staining, which is always huge plus when it comes to any blue polish! Shown here is three coats sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Holiday Traditions can be described as a red to white/pale pink thermal with red to gold flakies throughout. I am always down to love a thermal, but something about this one didn't wow me on a personal level. Still a very pretty polish with a subtle color shift. I have to note that the tone of it in cold state is totally love (but then again I am a sucker for red)! Nice and smooth formula as I've come to expect from a CDBL thermal. The transition gave me no issues and I was able to trigger the color changes easily in cups of cold and hot tap water. Shown here is two coats sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Mistletoe Kisses can be described as a green shimmer cream with white and green micro glitters. Definitely an unexpected favorite since green isn't usually a color I gravitate to. It's also a nice unique polish for the holiday season as well. I can see myself wanting to use it for a lot of nail art next month that's for sure! The formula is a bit on the thick side, but it is manageable and evens out well. It dries to a slightly gritty finish and will smooth out with two layers of a glossy topcoat. Shown here is two coats with double topcoat.

String of Lights can be described as a black jelly with red, blue, green, orange, fuchsia and silver micro glitters. It's back! Last year this was CDBL's best seller for the holiday and it's even better than before. This polish has the best application from the whole collection and that's really saying something since nearly all were very easy to work with. Each brush stroke has so much glitter and it doesn't affect the consistency of the formula. Super smooth application! Shown here is two coats sealed with double the glossy topcoat.

Overall it's a well rounded out holiday collection this year from CDB Lacquer. I am so thrilled to see that String of Lights has made a comeback, because it is still a hands down favorite and must-have. Mistletoe Kisses and Winter Wonderland are both gorgeous and must-haves for this holiday season as well. It's always nice to see such vibrant colors and experience no staining issues from them! I was not kidding around when I said this was a glitter heavy collection, haha. But that's one of the things I loved so much about this set. What about you guys, did you enough all the sparkle this collection has to offer?

The Holiday 2015 Collection by CDB Lacquer is available for pre-order through November 16th. The entire full-size set is available for $40.00 and each bottle retails individually for $8.50. There are no mini sizes available for this collection. As always, all orders over $30 receive free shipping in the U.S. with the code 'FREESHIP'.
