Lillian Eve - Winter 2015 - The Goddess Collection Swatches & Review

Hiya guys! I hope you all had a very nice Halloween weekend (for those whom celebrated). Today I have some exciting news and swatches to share. For the next few months I will be a brand ambassador for Lillian Eve! The fancy title aside, it just means I will be reviewing and swatching for this brand so you can expect my hundred perfect honest input as always. If you're unfamiliar with this brand, all their polishes and products are 5-free and cruelty free as well. In today's post I will be sharing swatches for their latest release, which is the Winter 2015 Goddess Collection. Let's get started!

Lillian Eve - Winter 2015 - The Goddess Collection Swatches & Review

The Goddess Collection by Lillian Eve is now available for purchase. The trio can be purchased now at sale price for $29.99. Each full-size 15ML bottle retails for $12.00.

Lillian Eve - Goddess
Lillian Eve - Goddess

Goddess can be described as a medium purple with silver micro-glitters. Right off the bat we're starting off with a beauty. The color to glitter combination really sets a winter tone for me without being too over the top. You could easily wear this outside the season too, which is always a bonus! The formula had a really nice even and smooth application that I wasn't expecting considering how laced it is with the glitters. I have to note that removal was a pain (as to be expected) with the micro glitters getting everywhere. Shown here is two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Lillian Eve - Mere Mortals
Lillian Eve - Mere Mortals

Mere Mortals can be described as a deep blue shimmering polish. Hands down my favorite among the three you're seeing here! Perfect blue shade for the holiday season as well. I didn't think I would end up loving it so much because it does have a bit of a metallic feel to it. Somehow though it works really well here. The formula is fantastic and so opaque, this is actually only one coat. Yup, a one coat wonder here ladies. Because of that the brush strokes are minimal and not noticeable at all after topcoat. Shown here in one coat and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Divinity can be described as a bronze to gold shimmering polish. Not normally my kind of shade, but again I feel there is something really eye-catching about the tone. If anything it had that feel of Greek goddess from the second I put it on. So regal. The formula wasn't an opaque as Mere Mortals, but was only a bit patchy and needed a second coat to even out. The brush strokes are visible even through topcoat so it definitely needs a delicate application for a smooth finish. You will also want to make sure it is dry before applying topcoat to reduce the chance of adding further brush strokes. Shown here is two coats sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Lillian Eve Cuticle Oil w/ Aragan Oil
Lillian Eve Cuticle Oil w/ Aragan Oil

Part of my nail care routine is wearing cuticle oil, lots and lots of it. So I was super excited to receive this one from Lillian Eve. Please keep in mind I have only tried this for about three days and I already use cuticle oil as my everyday routine. The number one thing about cuticle oil is scent for me and this one did not have much of one to me. The fragrance is a very light natural oil kind of smell, whilst I am more prone to using ones with sweet smells. The consistency of the oil is excellent though and does absorb within two minutes without the need to thoroughly rub it in. It retails in a 2ML pen/brush (my favorite kind of applicator) and retails for $12.00 each.

Overall this was a very nice experience Lillian Eve especially because it consisted of polishes I wasn't expecting to love. By far, I love Mere Mortals and it is definitely my recommendation as must-have for you guys! I am very curious to see if this beauty passes the stamp test, so stay tuned to hear about that! I love collections like this one that not only hit the seasonal theme, but can honestly be worn throughout the year. But what do you guys think? Which one was your favorite?

As I mentioned before, the Goddess Collection by Lillian Eve is now available for purchase. The trio can be purchased now at sale price for $29.99. Each full-size 15ML bottle retails for $12.00.
