Hiya guys! TGIF! I can't believe it's the weekend already, it felt like this week just flew by for me. When I think back on the week all I seem to remember is a lot of polish. Like some sort of drunken haze, just polish everywhere haha. Some of those polishes belonging to Daily Hues Lacquer! I was definitely very happy when Jenn asked me to review these polishes for her because I knew how special they were. Today I am sharing swatches for the limited edition Anniversary Duo from Daily Hues Lacquer! That's right Daily Hues Lacquer is turning 2 years old! Woot!
The Anniversary Duo from Daily Hues Lacquer will be available for purchase on November 9th. The duo is limited edition as I mentioned before so it will not be restocked. These will be available only in full size and only as a duo for $19.00. Now let's get to the swatches.
Daily Hues Lacquer - Milestone
Milestone can be described as a frosty metallic silver polish. Now I know what you're thinking, because I initially thought it too. This looks like a pain in the rear kind of polish to apply. So wrong we are people. So very wrong! I felt like I was swatching this with my mouth hanging open the entire time. The formula is extremely smooth and self levels almost instantly as you glide the coats on. Brush strokes are minimally visible, but mostly seem to blend out. The key to the application is allowing each layer some dry time (just a few seconds) before moving forward to the next. This is probably the only time in two years I have ever loved a polish with this kind of finish. Shown here is two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Daily Hues Lacquer - 2 Hues & Many More
2 Hues & Many More can be described as a thermal scattered holo that shifts from a light plum pink when warm to a dark plum wine shade when cold. I know thermals aren't a thing for everyone, but I always love them despite their shelf life. And most of all when the thermal transition is a dramatic one like the one this polish has. The range in color is so beautiful and also happens to fit really well with the season. Double win. The formula has a easy application throughout and has a nice opaque coats. It dries smooth to a semi-shine finish on its own. The color transition shifts without too drastic of a temperature change, which again works out well with this season. Shown here is two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
Warm State
Mid-Transition
Cold State
Overall I am so in love with this duo as it offers what I feel is polar opposites that are gorgeous each in their own right. It also shows the range of the maker behind Daily Hues Lacquer! It's definitely rare for me to love both polishes in a duo equally, but in this case I can't pick a favorite. So if it feels like I am gushing about these, it's because I am. Who wouldn't with such great formulas, am I right?! Happy Anniversary Jenn & Daily Hues Lacquer with polishes like these we are sure to see much more of you to come!

ReplyDeleteMilestone looks so fancy- like something you'd wear to a snazzy holiday party (or maybe if you were just generally a fancy person- I'm not sure exactly what fancy people wear on their nails normally). Seriously that metallic sheen is like a silk dress.
