BTS Speak Yourself Sao Paulo Brazil DVD Unboxing

Hiya guys! More K-Pop coming at you today in the form of a little unboxing of sorts. One of about a dozen, haha. I've built up quite the pile and it's almost rivaling my untried nail polish at this point. I have to say though, I really enjoy doing these and sharing the items I purchase for my collection (99% BTS related). I'm really kind of late with this unboxing, but it came in during the time I was feeling sick so I never got a chance to show it. In the future I'm hoping to be much faster when it comes to these unboxing style posts. But nevertheless I'm really excited to show you all the contents in the BTS Love Yourself Speak Yourself Sao Paulo tour stop DVD. I'll be honest and say I haven't even had a chance to sit down and watch it up to this point. I guess that ended up working though and gives me something else to do during this quarantine. Always got to find the positives in the negatives.

I feel like a lot of people (at least on Twitter) really opted out of purchasing this particular tour stop DVD. There were some parts on this DVD that really didn't cater to the audience featured. Like I believe the DVD region wasn't playable for Brazil and there are no Portuguese subtitles. You know... the main language in Brazil. It was definitely a huge oversight on behalf of BigHit and I can see why so many cans were angered. Especially considering how significant of a tour stop this was (they hadn't been to Brazil in a few years). Personally I want to believe that in the future it'll be something the company will consider. I feel like BigHit listens to fans and the hopeful in me believe they'll do better next time. Perhaps this is even why we haven't seen the release of the Saudi Arabia tour stop? Time will tell.

Let me just say... I'm really jealous that BigHit didn't think to do this for every tour stop. Can you imagine the collection of pins I'd have by now?! The hoarder in me is seething, haha. I feel like it would have been a really nice memento for those who went to the particular tour stops. But again going back to how important of a tour stop this was, I can see why they would want to make this DVD extra special. The fact that the entire package comes in Brazil's home colors is a lovely touch as well. Fingers crossed they consider doing little things like this for future DVD tour stop releases. But it should be noted that this was considered a pre-order gift and no longer is included.

This is the DVD package in it's entirety! It comes with 2 DVD disks, 1 folded poster, a random member bookmark, and a photobook. I don't remember exactly how much I paid since I ended up purchasing this through a Twitter group order to lessen the price of shipping. But it's still available last time I checked on WeVerse Shop for $39 plus shipping,  which is usually around $20 for the US. Very steep unfortunately, the shipping prices kill me every time.

The entirety of the tour is split up into two DVDs with the second half including some behind the scenes. The bulk of the concert is played on the first disc while the second has the last four songs. The concert plays straight through without interruptions so that it feels like you're part of the audience. The setlist is the exact same as the other stops on this tour and the songs are printed in order on the back cover. A quick side note, but I really like the design on these disks as they are translucent when held up. I don't know, it's a cool nerdy touch I liked haha.

Usually tour DVDs come with a photocard of one random member, but for this release they did something a little different. A bookmark! Actually I'm not sure if it's officially a bookmark or not, but that's what I'm rolling with so just go with it. Like I mentioned every DVD comes with a random and I'm notorious for never getting my bias Jimin. Seriously. I don't even let myself have hope at this point, haha. But even though I didn't get my bias, this time around I was blessed with getting my bias-wrecker Taehyung (aka V). And he's wearing the green suit from his solo stage... swoon times infinity. Of course this makes me wish I had Jimin in his solo song outfit, but this is definitely a fantastic consolation prize. Also can we appreciate the fact that he has legs for days... Whew. I'm positively head over heels and now you guys can see why he bias-wrecks me, haha.

No BTS official DVD or anything really would be complete with a photobook. There are around 132 pages (front and back) of high quality moments captured throughout the concert. Photos range from close-ups during group performances to entire group shots to their solo stages. Even some of their enduring and playful moments during songs are captured as well. The particular photo above is the ending group shot for the song that opens the stage Dionysus. It's literally the best hype song and this is one of the best photos that captures their totally dominance of the stage. I wish I could have shown you the entire photobook, but that would be entirely way too many pictures for one blog post. If you would like to see a flip through please let me know and maybe I can do a YouTube video.

And last but not least we have the group photo with Army in poster form! I think in some of the previous stops instead of a poster we received a postcard size group photo. Personally I do prefer the postcard over the poster only because it's folded and the crinkles bother me. But also I literally have no wall space so I can never hang up posters to begin with. That said, I can't deny the warm fuzzy feelings I get when it comes to the Army group photo time. Seeing that huge crowd of fans just like me makes me feel like I'm part of a big family. It's such a precious keepsake especially for stops you're able to attend.

That's a wrap on this unboxing post! What did you guys think of the DVD? I'm really excited to finally get time to watch it if nothing else, haha. Like I mentioned before I have tons of other official DVD packages I'm anxious to share. I don't want to keep dragging my feet as everything is already really late, so hopefully April will be my month to shower you with posts. Fingers crossed I can manage to keep safe at home and not wind up sick again. Anyway let me know your thoughts down in the comments below and I'll catch you next time xoxo Moonbaes!
