Hiya guys! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed some sun for the both of us. Yeah I totally stayed indoors as a good vampire does, haha. Spoiler alert though because I totally got a lot of recording done. Woot, woot! More on that later on in the week. For today I'm back with some more official merchandise for the K-Pop group BTS aka Bangtan Sonyeondan (방탄소년단). As some of you may recall I did an unboxing for the DVD version of the 5th Muster a few weeks ago and now it's time to do the Blu-Ray. Before you think I'm crazy for purchasing both, there are some differences in the packaging and the contents. But I think most of all we know I'm a collector and if I can spare the money I will always go for both versions. To be fair I think this was a present/pick-me-up because of the concert postponements. Or maybe it was a reward for something? Hmm. Trust me there was a reason for my madness, haha. But I really can't remember it now since this order was placed like three months ago and I can't even remember three hours ago. Anyhow I'm really excited to show you everything so let's go ahead and get started.
Once again I ended up purchasing the Blu-Ray through a group order on Twitter to help my odds with the photocard. And also reduce the shipping costs. Both versions of the 5th Muster are only available in the global Weverse shop currently. Because of the state of the world shipping is being done through DHL only, which means a price tag of $15-25 for international fans. Definitely a bummer. So hopefully my post can help you decide whether or not to purchase the DVD or Blu-ray.
BTS 5th Muster Blu-Ray | Outbox
I've said it before in my other post, but I'll say it again BEST PACKAGING TO DATE. The outbox here is very similar to the DVD in color and structure. One of the things you'll notice is this cover has the names of the members along the bottom. And this outbox has more of a window design versus the door entrance of the DVD. They used a different photo, which is something I really appreciate in the packaging. And I couldn't help but feel the coloring for the picture here seems much more vibrant and higher quality. But yeah this Muster aesthetic is going to be hard to beat this year!
BTS 5th Muster Blu-Ray | 4x6 Photo
Sadly the group order that I joined didn't have too many orders for the blu-ray version and so the manager didn't receive any Jimin photos. I definitely am feeling the Jimin blues over not being able to get his photo. I did however get my bias-wrecker or second bias Taehyung aka V. Definitely very happy about that especially considering he was one of two photos in the bunch. Plus this outfit is everything! It was definitely my favorite look during the Muster and the performances in said outfit are just *chef kiss*. I think it brings out a much more mature and dreamy side to him, especially with his dark long locks. Swoon. Okay, okay whew. I got to remember Jimin is my bias here before I start steering off the road, haha. I guess there is a reason why I call him my bias wrecker after-all.

BTS 5th Muster Blu-Ray | Lenticular Invitation Card

The invitation card this time around comes in an envelope with a BTS seal on the back. I totally didn't take photos of the seal unfortunately. This time the invitation has a lenticular effect, which makes the boys disappear from the doorway when you tilt the card. It's a very cool effect that fits the vibe of the Muster Magic Shop perfectly. The card itself is the same image as the DVD, which to me is a little bit of a bummer. I really wish they could have done a different photo, heck even just a slightly different pose would have been cool. And the back of the card is the same here as well, but that is much more understandable since it's just a breakdown of the songs performances.
BTS 5th Muster Blu-Ray | Photobook

Of course we receive a gorgeous photobook in the box set as well. This time around the cover is in a dark blue versus the green from the DVD. The thickness of this photobook is much thinner in size compared to the one that came in the DVD. If I had to compare I would say it's less than half the size of the other photobook. I think that's just the standard when it comes to having the DVD versus the Blu-Ray. The photos inside are all top quality and include a variety of all the different performances during both Busan and Seoul. All the photos that come in this photobook are not the same ones that come in the DVD. So that's definitely a nice aspect of it! Especially if you're like me and get both you know that you won't get duplicate photos.

And finally we have the core of the box, the gorgeous discs! And that's not an understatement either. Like the cover art on these is just so striking and vibrant in both of the colors. Just like in the DVD each location comes with two discs. Now the actual content on these discs is exactly the same - from the performances to the behind the scene clips. Except higher quality. There is also a beautiful group photo and a message welcoming us to the Magic Shop. So show me, I'll show you.
And that's all for the BTS 5th Muster Blu-ray! Personally I'm very happy I was able to afford buying both versions this time around. Mostly because this was my first Muster experience technically speaking. Although I didn't get to attend in person, it was the first one I was able to anticipate and see via live stream. Also the theme inspired by their song Magic Shop was something very touching and endearing to me. It's one of my favorite songs from BTS and I highly recommend checking it out. Let me know your thoughts down below. I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll catch you next time xoxo Moonbaes.
