Hiya guys! I cannot stop my excitement from being two weeks away from my most favorite holiday. Of course I am hoping to be able to do some activities like going to Fright Fest at Six Flags, but we'll have to wait and see if my body can handle it. At the very least I'm going to get a cute costume and have a horror movie marathon. It's like not actually Halloween unless that happens, haha. Anyway for today I'm sharing swatches for Don't Fall Asleep by Supernatural Lacquer, the Halloween 2017 LE inspired by Freddy Krueger. Yes, the little horror nut in me is absolutely screaming for joy. Fave brand plus fave movie plus fave holiday? No, yeah this is the polish for me 1000% haha. Without further ado, let's go ahead and get right into the swatches!

Supernatural Lacquer - Don't Fall Asleep

Don't Fall Asleep can be described as a red/gold/green shifter in a dark red base with silver platinum flakes. Isn't it mesmerizing?! Hard to believe that such a gorgeous polish is inspired by Freddy freaking Krueger, haha. As a major horror movie buff I definitely more than approve of this! Even if I wasn't though, there is something really captivating about the polish. The color to flakes combination is really stunning and creates such a rich complexity to the finish. The flakes are actually kind of subtle in the base,  but I love that as it doesn't take away from the color shifting and the vibrancy of the tone. And I know I always tend to say this when it comes to color shifting polishes, but my photos don't do it any justice. The tone of the base pulls a little warmth from my skin-tone, but it's not too much to be overwhelming or cause clashing.

The formula a sheer application that builds-up well for full coverage. Consistency wise it leans a little on the thin side, but it's not enough to cause an issue or pooling. The finish is very reflective and shifts between colors effortlessly although I was not able to capture it as well on camera. Each brush stroke has plenty of flakes that spread out evenly across the nail during the application. No clumping and no issues. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. There are minimal brush strokes in the finish that blend out for the most part as it dries. I'd like to note I did experience some heavy staining on removal to my nailbeds, but none to the actual cuticles. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Below is a photo at an angle so you can see some of the color shifts. Definitely much more vibrant in person and under direct sunlight.
