Lollipop Posse Lacquer - Chicago Polish Con LEs 2017 | Swatches & Review

Hiya guys! Another day, another day full of polish goodness. I have to say I love swatching on my new nail shape even though at least I was totally against it. It's such a refreshing change and I think I will try keeping it for a little a while. Let me know what you think about the shape down in the comments. But first let's talk polish. Today I'm sharing swatches for two Polish Con LEs by Lollipop Posse Lacquer, which debuted at this years Chicago event. I wasn't able to attend the con this time around due to distance and the traveling costs. But just like with every con, a lot of brands end up putting their overpours after the event is over on their online platform. Luckily Lollipop Posse Lacquer was one of those brands with overpours available and I immediately went to snatch them right up. It just took me a little while to finally get around to swatching them. No shocker there, haha. Now without further ado, let's go ahead and jump right into the swatches!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer - Midway Madness

Midway Madness can be described as a vibrant, cerulean crelly that suspends iridescent, color-shift glitters in multiple sizes, color-shifting shimmer, and scattered particles of micro holographic pigment. Doesn't this shade have a magically essence?! I feel like it resembles a jewel enclosed in resin or something like that. So much sparkle. I'm not sure if it makes a whole lot of sense, but we are gonna roll with it haha. It's a very busy finish with lots of shimmer and glitters combining, but it works well and doesn't feel too overwhelming or cluttered. For me it's not secret that I absolutely love the color blue on my nails. It's perfect against my skin complexion most of the time and this is one of those times!

The formula has a sheer application that needs a few layers in order to build-up opacity. Consistency wise it felt like it leans on the thicker side per coat. It wasn't an issue when layering and felt very much manageable. A bit of thinner would probably make the bit of difference, but it wasn't needed for my swatches. There were a lot of glitters per brush stroke that dispersed on the nail pretty evenly, which I really appreciated. The finish does dry down to a gritty textured feel that needs a thick coat (or two) of topcoat to smooth out. There was no staining on removal to either my nail beds or cuticles. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Lollipop Posse Lacquer - Funhouse Frenzy

Funhouse Frenzy can be described as a neon, candy-apple red crelly that is packed with aqua shimmer. If there is anything that I love as close to a blue polish it would be a red one. Especially one with a gorgeous shimmer! I think the tone of red is very unique in general not just in my collection and feels like a shade I would love to wear year round. Like it's not too bright to feel limited to summer if that makes sense. The shimmer though. Insert a million drooling emojis here. I wish I could have captured it a little better because it's definitely the selling point. The contrasting colors work so well together and like I said just feels extremely unique. I also feel like the color gives my skin-tone a really nice glow and brings out the perfect amount of warmth.

The formula has a sheer almost more like a jelly application rather than a crelly. It does however build-up extremely well for full and complete coverage. It has a balanced consistency throughout, not too thick or too thin. Very easy to work with, smooth like butter. It dries down to a decently high shine finish on its own as well. And I was pleasantly surprised that there was no staining on removal to either my nail beds or cuticles. Always a major plus when it comes to a red polish. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
