Hiya guys! Unfortunately I'm still feeling very much under the weather with a raging fever that won't break. My appointment with the doctor is still a few days away and over the counter stuff never does the kick. So I need a lot of polish to make me feel better and lucky for me Polish Pickup is just a few days away. Best believe I will be going ham, haha. If you think your wish-list is complete better hold on because I have one that needs that a spot immediately. Today I'm sharing swatches for 1910 by Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish, which is the March contribution to the Polish Pickup Collaboration. Not only is this shade one of my favorites this month, but it's one of the best polishes to date from this brand. But don't let me hype it up too much, I'll let the polish win you over like it did me. Without further ado, let's get into the swatches!

If you're not familiar with the concept, the Polish Pickup offers a fun, interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas, vote for your favorite theme, and selectively purchase your favorite polishes every month. As I mentioned before, the theme that was voted for March is Books. This month Kristen found her inspiration from the 11th Edition Encyclopedia Britannica.

Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish - 1910

1910 can be described as a deep blue-toned olivine green packed with shimmer and gold micro flakies. Before I can even begin to discuss the gorgeous polish itself, I have to give major props to Kristen for having such unique inspiration source. Definitely did not see a encyclopedia inspired polish coming nor could I have ever expected it to be so stunning. Now I know I say this all the time, but it really reigns true that photos don't do the shimmer justice. I feel like I could wear this shade year round, all the time. It's without a doubt a must-have this month!

The formula has a sheer application that builds-up easily for full coverage. Consistency wise it's perfectly balanced, not too thick or too thin. It dries down to a beautiful smooth semi-satin finish on its own. And I'm thrilled to report that despite it's rich color, I experienced no staining on removal to either my cuticles or nail beds. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
