Today I'm sharing swatches for Jefferson Starships 2.0 by Supernatural Lacquer, which is a revamped version of the original released back in 2015. This was one of my first ever favorites from this brand years ago and still rings true till this day. I'm so glad to see it make a comeback as I'm sure a lot of new customers are going to love it! Supernatural Lacquer - Jefferson Starships 2.0
Jefferson Starships 2.0 can be described as a white crelly with a mix of neon and black glitters of various shapes and sizes with a bright orange glow. Like I mentioned before, this has always been a favorite in my collection and this revamped version is no different. Literally the difference between the original and this are so subtle I wouldn't be able to tell at a first glance. Normally I'm not a fan of glitter heavy bases, but this one has such a fun color to shape combination. Plus it's been a while since I have swatched a great crelly and I honestly miss the hype the finish used to get. It's a nice change among all the holos and shimmers that seem to dominate the market.
The formula has a sheer application that builds-up well for full coverage. Consistency wise it's well balanced and not too thick or too thin. The glitters end up spreading out pretty well on their own as you layer the coats for opacity. I didn't find myself having to do any placement or doing any fishing for the larger glitters. And there was no clumping throughout the application, however some of the stars do stick out a bit on the final coat. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
And as I mentioned briefly, this shade actually glows in the dark! I ended up just charging the shade under a desk lamp for about 15 minutes before taking these photos and the glow was very bright. After the photo session the glow ended up lasting for about two to three hours, which is actually really great considering how little charging I did. Glow in the dark polishes are always a favorite of mine, I wish they could last like this forever. In case you aren't aware there is a shelf life on the glow, as long as it's stored in a cool place the glow should last a year.
