Hiya guys! I'm back with another gorgeous polish for this months Polish Pickup. Totally wish I could say I was pelvic thrusting with excitement, but I caught the flu over night and feel awful. That's actually an understatement as I'm sporting a 101.4 fever as I type this. Hopefully you guys are able to pelvic thrust for me because rain or shine (snot or not) Polish Pickup will be rocking our worlds in a few days. Today I'm sharing swatches for Supermoon Lacquer March contribution to the Polish Pickup Collaboration. Spoiler alert... you're going to want this on your wish-list! I'll let the photos do the talking as we head right into the swatches!
I Would Walk 417 Miles by Supermoon Lacquer will be available for purchase through the Polish Pickup Shop Friday, March 2nd at 11AM EST through March 5th. This full-size 12mL shade will retail for $12.50 each and there is no cap this month.
From the maker: "This is my favorite book of all time written by my favorite author of all time (I even have a quote from him tattooed on my inner right arm)! While not his first novel to be published, it was the first novel he wrote having begun writing it in 1966-1967 while a freshman in college - a good 13-14 years before it'd finally be released. The name of the polish itself is a play on the lyrics of the song 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)' by The Proclaimers, with 417 miles being the estimated distance of the actual walk that takes place in the book."
Supermoon Lacquer - I Would Walk 417 Miles
I Would Walk 417 Miles can be described as a dark gray based scattered holographic with white, red, and aqua-blue sparks, cyan-to-copper and blue-to-red color shifting shimmer, indigo-to-purple color shifting aurora pigment, blue pearl and electric blue micro flakies, and silver holographic flakies and micro-glitter. I am always drawn to dark shades like this year round, you can simply never go wrong with it. Plus it's a gorgeous tone of gray unlike any other in my collection. Definitely has that touch of uniqueness that lays in the subtle complexity to the finish.
The formula has a very opaque application that is nearly a one coater. Mind you, I have a very light hand and even then I felt I had it down in one coat. Consistency wise it's well balanced, not too thick or too thin. Creamy and smooth throughout, it's a dream to work with. It dries down to a gritty finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. And despite it's rich pigmentation, I experienced no staining on removal to either my nail beds or cuticles. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
To recap, I Would Walk 417 Miles by Supermoon Lacquer will be available for purchase through the Polish Pickup Shop Friday, March 2nd at 11AM EST through March 5th. This full-size 12mL shade will retail for $12.50 each and there is no cap this month.
