Hiya guys! It's the start of another week and as we head into March there is a little something coming up. I'm sure most of you already know what I'm talking.... Polish Pick Up, of course! I'll be honest, I'm still recovering from last month and I'm so scared for what this month has in store. Especially considering this month the theme voted in was Books - the bookworm in me is quaking! So for today I'm sharing swatches for The Secret Garden by Smokey Mountain Lacquers, which is the March contribution to the Polish Pickup Collaboration. If you're like me and are loving the revival of crelly finishes lately, then this is the post (and polish) for you. Let's get to the swatches!

The Secret Garden by Smokey Mountain Lacquers will be available for purchase through the Polish Pickup Shop Friday, March 2nd at 11AM EST through March 5th. This full-size shade will retail for $10.50 each. There is a cap this month at 75 bottles, so be sure to set those alarms and don't miss out!

If you're not familiar with the concept, the Polish Pickup offers a fun, interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas, vote for your favorite theme, and selectively purchase your favorite polishes every month. As I mentioned before, the theme that was voted for March is Books. This month Kim found her inspiration from the book The Secret Garden!

Smokey Mountain Lacquers - The Secret Garden 

The Secret Garden can be described as a bright light green crelly with banana hex, cotton candy hex, matte lavender square and matte cotton candy dot glitters. This color is EVERYTHING! I feel like last year orange was the color that completely threw me for a loop. And this year it's clearly all about the green and I'm honestly loving it. Plus it's another crelly perfection from Kim! It's such a fun combination that not only nails the theme, but also feels so appropriate for the season. The hue itself looks fantastic against my skin complexion. It gives me a nice tan warmth look whilst not clashing against the skin tone.

The formula has a sheer application that builds-up easily for full coverage. The consistency leans a little on the thick side, but it's manageable and didn't need any thinner. Please note, the finish is jam packed with glitters so the thickness is to be expected. That said, the glitters disperse wonderfully throughout the application without any clumping. And there was also no need to fish for the larger yellow glitters. It dries down to a gritty finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown here in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
