Road to Polish Con Spring 2018 | Week 1 - Ever After, Inspurrrations, Pepper Pot Polish

Hiya guys! I have been a little quiet this week again, but I have some very special news to share. I'm an official swatcher for the Road to Polish Con series this Spring! I legit cried my eyes out and pelvic thrusted so hard someone almost lost an eye. I'm like the Shakira of polish, hip movements galore. Needless to say this is so very exciting for my little heart. I'm already planning my outfit because you best believe I will be in New York for the event. Now we have 11 weeks leading up to the con, each week bringing us 2-3 polishes from the brands vendoring. That means a whole lot of pretty polish. For today I'm sharing swatches for Week 1 which features Ever After PolishInspurrrations, and Pepper Pots Polish. Let's go ahead and get right to it!

Inspurrrations - Psalms 74:17
Inspurrrations - Psalms 74:17

Psalms 74:17 can be described as purple creme with teal glitter, lime green, hot pink holo and glitter with silver flakies. Starting off this review with such a cute and fun color! It definitely embodies both the con and the season all into one. The glitters aren't overdone and there is a nice variation to the colors to give it that 'pop'.  The tone brings out a little warmth from my skin tone, but it's not too much to be glaring.

The formula has a sheer application that builds up well for full coverage. There is lots of glitter per brush stroke with a good distribution and no clumping. Consistency wise it does lean on thick and made layering a little challenging. I ended up adding some thinner in order to have manageable layers and it really helped. It dries down to a semi-matte textured finish, but smooths out well after a heavy layer of topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Ever After Polish - Little But Fierce
Ever After Polish - Little But Fierce

Little But Fierce can be described as a deep slate gray holo with rainbow UCC flakes and shimmer and gunmetal silver micro glitter. Long time readers will automatically know that this girl right here has a weakness for grey. So it's not shocking to say this one has knocked my socks right off! The flakes and shimmer are subtle against the base whilst still giving it a very sparkly look. Plus it's one of those colors that look amazing against any skin-tone.

The formula has a sheer application that builds-up really nice and easy for full coverage. It has such smooth layering - a breeze to work with - and the flakes disperse well across the nail. The consistency is well balanced, not too thick or too thin. I could have got away with a lesser amount of coats, but I wanted a little more shimmer and flakes to the finish. It dries down to a minimal gritty and high-shine finish that smooths out perfectly after topcoat. Shown in two to three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Pepper Pot Polish - Pixies & Spriggans & Sprites, Oh My!
Pepper Pot Polish - Pixies & Spriggans & Sprites, Oh My!

Pixies & Spriggans & Sprites, Oh My! can be described as a metallic cool slate blue w silver flakes, blue micro flakies, illusion flakes an rainbow micro shreds. Isn't this one simply stunning?! It has me pelvic thrusting all over again, haha. I don't have anything quite like this in my collection, so it has that air of irresistible uniqueness. The finish has a lot going on, but it meshes together really really well.  If you completely twisted my arm this week then this one has my vote as must-have.

The formula has a very sheer application that manages to build-up surprisingly well and provides full coverage. Definitely feels like it could be used as a topper too which is really cool. So much more shiny and metallic than my photos could capture. The consistency tends to lean a bit thick, but it's manageable and easy to work with. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out after topcoat. Shown in three coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.
