Supermoon Lacquer - Sailor Guardians Collection - Inner Set

Hiya guys! I can't believe the month is almost over and here I am still playing catch up. Like story of my life haha. My to-do pile has turned into a to-do mountain... and that's both exciting and terrifying. Mostly exciting though because I mean... it's polish duh. And now it's time for you guys to get hyped and excited... wallets everywhere are quaking. Today I'm sharing swatches for the Sailor Guardians Collection by Supermoon Lacquer, which consists of ten gorgeous shades. This collection is inspired by amazing classic the animanga Sailor Moon. Yessss. I'm a mega huge anime and manga fan *que my bookshelf with over 100 books and dvd box sets*. Now I'm dividing up my review and in this first half I'll be showing you the the inner set. Lots of photos to see, so let's go ahead and get right to it.

Supermoon Lacquer - Aqua Rhapsody

Aqua Rhapsody can be described as a deep blue holographic filled with blue and silver/white shimmer, blue and white flakies, holographic flakies, and iridescent teal-blue, holographic and metallic blue, and holographic silver micro-glitters. Of course, we are starting off the review with one of my favorite shades in this half of the collection. And that's saying a lot because *spoiler alert* this is one of my favorite collections of all time. There is just something about the color blue that makes me lose it and this one in particular is doing just that. The color is really rich and the combination of different blues and glitters gives the finish the perfect feel of water. Plus it's a very flattering color against any skin-tone.

Aqua Rhapsody is based on Ami Mizuno aka Sailor Mercury and named after the special ability she gains in Super S (season four).

The formula has an amazing opaque application, though it's not quite a one coater. It has a balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin. I experienced no staining on removal to my cuticles or nail beds. The finish dries down to a minimal gritty finish and smooths out after topcoat. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Flame Sniper can be described as a dark red holographic with copper and red sparks, red-to-copper and purple-to-red color shifting shimmer, iridescent purple flakies, and copper, red, and violet holographic micro-glitter. By far the most unique shade of red in my collection! And that's saying something since it's one of my favorite colors and I own quite a few. It's the perfect hue for this time of year as well.

Flame Sniper is based on Rei Hino aka Sailor Mars and named after the special ability she gains in Super S (season four).

Quick little tidbit... so I actually grew up watching Sailor Moon, like every single day after school never missed an episode (Toonami ftw). Sailor Mars was at the time my least favorite Sailor Scout and that's like an understatement. I would get so upset at her attitude and her bickering with Usagi, haha. Like how dare you fight with the Moon Princess, Tuxedo Mask will never be yours girl. Okay this polish is bringing those feelings back hardcore, haha.

The formula has a sheer application, but builds-up really well. Consistency wise it's very balanced and isn't too thick or thin. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooths out easily. Photos don't do the justice to the holo finish, it's easily the most vibrant in this collection. No staining on removal to my cuticles or nail bed. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Love And Beauty Shock can be described as a bright orange scattered holographic filled with copper, gold, and red shimmer, and copper, gold, and red holographic micro-glitters. Okay, I have to say orange is like the color of the year for me. I have just been so turned around on the shade because of gorgeous polishes like this one. Easily vibrant without being overwhelming and very complimentary against my skin-tone. Definitely a must-have if you have yet to find that perfect orange in your collection.

Love And Beauty Shock is based on Minako Aino aka Sailor Venus / Sailor V and named after the special ability she gains in Super S (season four).

The formula has a nice opacity like all the others, not quite to be a one coater. Like the others so far, it has a nice balanced consistency. Just a smooth easy application throughout. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish and smooths out after topcoat. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Oak Evolution can be described as a bright green scattered holographic filled with reddish-pink and green sparks, green-to-pink color shifting shimmer, and silver, pink, and rose gold holographic micro-glitter.

Oak Evolution is based on Makoto Kino aka Sailor Jupiter and named after the special ability she gains in Super S (season four).

The formula has a sheer application, but it builds-up easily to a opaque finish. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Rainbow Moon Heartache can be described as a dark gray holographic multichrome with blue/purple/red chameleon pigment, blue-to-red and blue-to-violet color shifting shimmer, gold and silver/white sparks, gold and silver holographic micro-glitters, iridescent rainbow micro-glitter, and holographic and rainbow pearl flakies.

Rainbow Moon Heartache is based on Usagi Tsukino aka Sailor Moon and named after the special ability she gains in S (season three).

The formula has a really opaque application, almost enough to be a one coater. Consistency wise it does lean on the thick side, but it's manageable and doesn't hinder the application. Like the others in this collection, it dries down to a gritty finish. Shown in two coats and sealed with a glossy topcoat.

Overall this is a collection right after my little 90s heart so of course I am head over heels for it. Aside from the fandom aspect of it, I thoroughly enjoyed the rainbow color scheme vibe. Definitely a collection that gives everyone a favorite. As always, formulas were spot on and so easy to work with. If I have to pick a must-have from this half (which is a very difficult task) then I have to give it to Aqua Rhapsody. I mean a rich and pigmented blue that doesn't stain is like a unicorn, haha. If you're a fan of darker toned hues, then be sure to come back tomorrow for the second half of this collection!
